Running Hifiberry OS with an IQaudIO DAC+
HifiberryOS is a small, functional OS that supports multiple audio sources (Bluetooth, Spotify, Airplay, etc) and has a great looking web interface to control it. However, the only officially supported hardware is Hifiberry’s own DACs (which is reasonable).

Installing Realtek RTL8125B drivers on Proxmox
I run my router as an opnsense VM inside Proxmox, and recently upgraded to a new RTL8125B 4x 2.5GbE card. Opnsense was happy with it, but I had quite a bit of jitter and dropped packets. Because Opnsense gets a virtualised bridge, I needed to update the Realtek drivers in the Proxmox host instead.

Playing Switch games at 4K
After working on plex-placebo, I realised that I could potentially use Anime4K for upscaling my Switch games. Turns out it works perfectly! Nowadays, you can get a 1080p60 capture card for ~AUD$120, so it’s essentially a $120 upgrade to play Switch games on your PC at up to 4K – totally worth it imo.
